Our Purpose

The principles guiding every harvest.

Why does Origin Acre exist?

Origin Acre was created to restore clarity to how food moves from farm to families.

Modern food systems prioritize distance, durability, and scale.
We prioritize proximity, seasonality, and known growing practices.

We believe food should have a clear origin, a transparent path, and a purpose beyond shelf life.

How is Origin Acre different from grocery store produce?

Most grocery store produce is optimized for transport and storage.
That often means early harvest, extended refrigeration, and movement through multiple distribution centers.

Origin Acre prioritizes produce harvested closer to ripeness and curated weekly around seasonal availability.

The result feels different in the kitchen — fuller flavor, fresher texture, and a rhythm built around use rather than storage.

How is the origin acre standard different from organic?

Organic certification establishes an important baseline. All of our produce is grown to meet those standards — but we believe the bar should be higher.

The organic label does not mean chemical-free. It defines which inputs and treatments are permitted under regulation. Certification also does not address proximity, harvest timing, storage duration, or whether food is grown within industrial systems.

The Origin Acre Standard exists to go beyond labels and focus on integrity from the ground up — raising the standard for how food is grown, sourced, and brought to your family.

Why is membership limited?

Quality and sourcing integrity require capacity control.

By limiting membership, we ensure:

• Careful weekly curation
• Responsible sourcing
• Consistent standards
• Thoughtful growth

Expansion happens only when it can be supported without compromising the system.

Becoming A founder

What it means to join during our earliest phase.

What is the Founders phase?

The Founders phase is the first founding families of Origin Acre.

It represents the earliest phase of the program — where sourcing, logistics, and seasonal rhythms are refined alongside a small group of households.

Membership during this phase is intentionally capped to protect quality and maintain close oversight.

What makes Founding Members different?

Founding Members are part of the first 25 households helping shape Origin Acre from the ground up.

They receive:

• Reduced pricing always $4 below the public rate per box
• Early access to new add-ons and seasonal offerings
• Occasional founder-only previews or samples
• Ongoing Founding status beyond the pilot phase

How long does Founding status last?

Founding status is permanent.

Founders permanently retain reduced pricing, early access privileges, occasional gifts, locked in priority, and recognition as helping establish Origin Acre.

What happens when the 25 Founding spots are filled?

Once the first 25 spots are claimed, Founding enrollment will close.

Additional households may join the waitlist and will be notified when future openings become available.

Expansion happens intentionally and only when it can be supported without compromising the Origin Acre Standard.

What happens after the pilot phase?

After the Founders phase, Origin Acre will continue expanding carefully.

Founding Members remain part of the original 25 and retain their early access privileges, while new members may enter under updated pricing and structure.

The Founder phase is designed to build the foundation of Origin Acre.

How it works

Membership details, delivery, and flexibility.

How does membership work?

Origin Acre operates as a weekly harvest membership.

Members receive a curated box of seasonal produce each week during the active season. Payment is recurring and processed automatically to keep the process simple and predictable.

There are no long-term contracts during the pilot phase.

When and where does pickup take place?

Members will receive their harvest box at a consistent weekly pickup location and window.

Boxes are pre-packed and labeled to ensure an efficient pickup experience.

Exact location and timing details are shared prior to your first harvest week.

Can I pause or skip a week?

Yes.

Members may pause deliveries with advance notice through their account or by contacting us directly.

We understand travel and schedule changes. Flexibility is built into the structure.

Can I cancel my membership?

Yes.

There is no long-term commitment during the pilot phase. Members may cancel at any time with proper notice before the next billing cycle.

We aim for long-term relationships — not locked-in subscriptions.

What if something arrives damaged?

If any item does not meet the Origin Acre Standard, we will make it right.

Because membership is intentionally limited, we are able to maintain closer oversight and respond quickly to quality concerns.

What if produce spoils quickly?

Peak-harvest produce is meant to be used within the week.

We provide guidance on proper storage and usage to help reduce waste.

If you ever feel something was below standard freshness at pickup, let us know promptly and we’ll address it.

What if I move outside the service area?

If you relocate outside of our service area, your membership may be canceled without penalty.

As Origin Acre expands intentionally, new service areas will be announced publicly.

The Harvest

What you can expect inside your weekly box.

What’s typically included in a weekly harvest box?

Each box is built around seasonal balance and practical meal planning.

You can expect a mix of:

• Leafy greens
• Root vegetables
• Seasonal fruits
• Fresh herbs
• Rotating staples such as potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, or cucumbers

The goal is variety without excess — enough to anchor the week without overwhelming your kitchen.

How many people will this serve?

The pilot harvest box is designed for two adults who cook regularly.

It supports salads, roasted vegetables, sides, soups, fruit for the week, and herb-forward cooking.

For households that cook most nights, it typically covers the majority of weekly produce needs. For households that rely heavily on takeout, it may feel like more than needed.

Once the pilot is complete, we will feature varied sizing. For those that have larger families, contact us directly to see if we can accommodate at this time.

How seasonal is the box?

Highly seasonal.

Contents shift naturally with growing conditions and regional availability.

That means certain items rotate out when they are no longer at peak quality — and new items rotate in when they reach it.

Seasonality is a feature, not a limitation.

Can I customize items in the box?

During the pilot phase, customization will be limited.

Boxes are curated intentionally to maintain sourcing integrity and operational simplicity.

As the program evolves, we plan to introduce expanded add-ons and flexible options while protecting the core structure.

How fresh is the produce?

We prioritize short supply chains and harvest timing that supports flavor and weekly use.

Produce is not selected for extended shelf life. It is selected for peak quality and intended to be enjoyed within the week.

Storage guidance is provided to help maximize freshness at home.

What if I’m unfamiliar with an item?

Seasonal eating occasionally introduces new ingredients.

We view this as part of the experience — an opportunity to expand your cooking rhythm.

We provide preparation suggestions and simple usage ideas to reduce waste and increase confidence in the kitchen.
